Week 8 – University of San Diego – The Immaculata Parish – Catholic Church

We did a campus visit while in San Diego today for our daughter Tess who will be a junior in high school this year. My sister graduated from USD. We did not attend Mass at this church but it was so beautiful that I had to include the photos here. Enjoy the ornate and traditional detail. I definitely felt the presence of God in art and architecture today. Dedicated in 1959, Immaculata Parish is amazingly beautiful. I wish they still built churches like this one – I could feel the tradition, ritual and depth while simply standing in the space.
